After making these first outings, Rudy immediately understood that his place was in the DJ booth.
It all started in 1996, he was already attracted to production with Tracker, which he had just discovered when it was released.
But above all he had to make a choice as to the musical style he was going to share
once he had cut his teeth in his modest room.
His apprenticeship was with Hip-hop / Breakbeat / Soul style vinyls.
After 2 years of familiarization with the famous and legendary Technics SL1200 MK2, Rudy decided to turn to electronic music, more precisely, Techno.
Head to the Fuse Club in Brussels where the big star of the time was none other than Mister Jeff Mills!
From evening to evening, he memorizes the mixing technique seen with his own eyes by great celebrities in this field, and in the process, he begins to sympathize with the Fuse team.
And so, with courage and modesty, he asks to work there, whatever the position that is offered to him.
A few days later, he was training with the light jockey and finished with his first contract in the night world at the legendary FUSE!
After 4 years of service, Rudy realized that his field was sound and began buying plates from Doctor Vinyls.
At the beginning of 2000, he started mixing in public at “Ric’s Art Boat United Elektro” evenings under the nickname @ttest, and very quickly he came to organize his own evenings in Brussels.
But he didn’t stop there, one day, passing in front of a “Star’s Music” audio equipment store, without really thinking, he bought the famous 303 and the following week he went on to buy the 909, there he was ready. ! And there, it all begins for him in the field of composition!
During his career he has released acclaimed singles, EPs and albums on labels like Bonzai Records, Kootz, Comsumed records, Kiss my beat records, Klangw-erk, Am strand, Muenchen, Tech Recordings, Flymusik Records, LW Recordings and many more…
But also on his own labels such as CELLAROOT (Vinyl Label), UF RECORDINGS (Minimal Label) and HIGHLY FACTS (Techno Label) where he notably released a Vinyl with the famous SAYTEK LIVE working in collaboration with Carl Cox!
During each of his productions, Rudy demonstrates a very avant-garde and underground approach that he has to music and he remains 100% faithful to his instincts and his convictions.
These tracks have been supported and performed worldwide by artists such as Marco Carola, DJ DEP, Stacey Pullen, Lea Dobricic, Laurent Garnier, Mark Broom, Saab, Sascha, Airwave, Luciano, Nihil Young, & Me, 303lovers, Adam Beyer, Agoria, ….. And this in the biggest clubs like, Amnesia, Pacha, Pacha miami, Space, Boiller Room, Café del Mar…..and many others!
But as Rudy remains eternally dissatisfied, always in search of “better”, despite his numerous machines, the settings of the synthesizers no longer suit him and, combining his two great passions which are music and electronics, he feels the need to create your own modulars. It is therefore in 2022 that CELLAR MODULAR is born, in collaboration with PH Modular, from which, moreover, results a change in musical style, more progressive and sharp in sound levels.
During his evolution he has played in several venues, Fuse, Vamos Club, Barrio, Dali’s, Ric art’s Boat, Fulmar, White Island Party, Le Trébuchet Festival la Magneerade, TIBV, Sunset Club, Le nouveau Russe, Havana Club, Fiesta Club, Cherry Moon, King’s Club, Salle Club Vision, Canal 10 and this year here it is at the famous Dour Festival! And in a few weeks, “AU LABO” by the Chemists will be performing where big names such as Seba Lecomte play regularly, for a 100% vinyl set.
Rudy also regularly participates in broadcasts and interviews with Radio Panik FM Brussels, the capital’s legendary radio station which has been on the airwaves for around forty years!
